By default, solo travelers are matched with same-gender roommates. If you're traveling with friends, you can choose to room together. Private rooms are sometimes available at an additional fee at checkout.

Physical level

This safari is not a hiking-focused trip, but involves multiple days of game drives in a 4x4 safari vehicle. Guests should be comfortable with long road journeys, early starts and getting in and out of the vehicle during game drives.

Yes. The trip includes a private 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, professional English-speaking driver-guide, fuel and all game drives.

What wildlife can I expect to see on this safari?

The safari offers opportunities to see the Big Five, elephants, hippos, flamingos and other wildlife across Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Great Migration sightings are seasonal.

Day 1

Arrive in Tanzania & Unwind in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and meet your team before your transfer to Arusha.
Settle into your hotel and take some time to relax and recharge after your journey.
Enjoy a dinner at the hotel before an early night and a good rest ahead of your safari adventure.
Get ready for the days ahead as your Tanzania safari begins tomorrow.

Day 2

Safari Begins in Tarangire

Depart Arusha after breakfast with a picnic lunch and make your way to Tarangire National Park, one of the highlights of your Tanzania safari.
Spend the day on game drives through Tarangire, keeping an eye out for the park’s famous elephant herds.
Take in Tarangire’s distinctive landscapes, with iconic baobab trees and wide-open wilderness surrounding you throughout the drive.
After a full day of wildlife viewing, arrive at your lodge late in the afternoon and settle in for the evening.

Day 3

Mto wa Mbu and Lake Manyara

After breakfast, leave Tarangire and drive towards Mto wa Mbu for a guided cultural tour through the village, farms, and local communities.
Experience local life and culture as you explore the village and get a glimpse into everyday life around Mto wa Mbu.
Continue to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive, with opportunities to spot tree-climbing lions, hippos and flamingos.
After your wildlife experience, continue to Karatu and arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon to relax and unwind.

Day 4

Journey to the Serengeti

Leave Karatu behind and journey through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands towards the vast plains of the Serengeti.
As the landscape opens up, begin game viewing along the way, with wildlife encounters starting even before you reach camp.
Continue into the central Seronera area, one of the key wildlife regions of the Serengeti, and take in the incredible scale of the surrounding wilderness.
Arrive at your camp and settle in after your first day exploring the endless Serengeti plains.

Day 5

A Full Day in the Serengeti

Wake up to another day in the Serengeti National Park and get ready for a full day of wildlife adventures.
Head out on morning and afternoon game drives, giving you more time to explore the park and spot its incredible wildlife.
Keep your eyes open for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino—as you explore the Serengeti’s vast wilderness.
If travelling during the right season, you may also encounter the Great Migration herds moving across the plains.
Return to camp after a full day in the wild and enjoy another night surrounded by the Serengeti wilderness.

Down into Ngorongoro Crater

Leave the Serengeti early and make your way towards the Ngorongoro Crater.
Descend into the crater for a game drive on the crater floor, with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife along the way.
Stop for a picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by the open grasslands and wildlife.
After the game drive, head back up from the crater and continue to Karatu for your final night in the safari area.

Until Next Time, Tanzania

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before starting the journey back to Arusha.
Travel back towards Arusha, with lunch along the way.
From Arusha, continue with your airport transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
Take one last look at Tanzania before heading home after *seven days of safari and wildlife experiences.
