Winter in Kazakhstan offers breathtaking snowy landscapes with temperatures generally ranging from -15°C to 5°C, depending on the region and altitude. Mountain areas such as Shymbulak, Kolsai, and Kaindy Lake are significantly colder than Almaty. Expect snow-covered scenery, crisp mountain air, and occasional strong winds. Dressing in warm layers is essential for a comfortable experience.

This trip is suitable for travellers with a moderate level of fitness. Activities include easy hikes of up to 1.5 hours, horseback riding, walking on uneven terrain, and extended road journeys between destinations. No technical hiking experience is required, but participants should be comfortable with outdoor activities and cold winter conditions.
